Better Problem Solving
Q1: Actually, although a few stand out as more frequently-occurring than others, all are very commonly complained of as workplace problems. (Time Management, Communication, Cooperation and People Management are probably the most commonly-mentioned.) We know of many organisations in which focus on them consumes considerable time and effort, sometimes perpetually.
Q2: However, while all these topics when nominated as "problems" signify the existence of challenges or issues that deserve inquiry, they do not define problems; they are solutions. More accurately, they nominate possible solutions to problems yet to be specified, a particularly unwise and unhelpful starting-point for problem solving efforts.
Take a few moments to define more carefully as problems, two or three of those you selected.
Then check these and our answers to Question #3 »
